Drum Rock Fis-Chic Wonder Batter an all purpose, ready to use batter/breader
mix. Blended from all natural ingredients, we use no additives or preservatives
in our mix.
"No Wrong Way To Use."
Use as a breader, or add any liquid such as water, beer,
milk, or wine to make a batter. Use as a breader to pan fry. Add your
own spices for custom flavoring. Or try Drum Rock Spicey Fry Mix.
Seafood Suggestions: Fillet of Sole, Scrod, Cod, Cat Fish,
any fish fillet, Smelts, Calamari, Shrimp, Scallops, Clams (Strips and
Whole Belly), Lobster Tails, Soft Shell Crabs.
Other Suggestions: Chicken, Broccoli, Onion Rings, Red
Peppers, Mushrooms, Green Peppers, Red Peppers, Yellow Peppers, Carrots,
Zucchini, Cauliflower, Fried Ravioli, Potatoes (French Fries), Fried
Mozzarella Sticks, Battered Hot Dogs, Dill Pickles, Tomatoes (Red or
Green).
Deep Fry at 350 degrees until golden brown. Pan fry until
golden brown.

Product Usage Guide
Light Coating (One Step Preparation)
Moisten seafood, chicken, or vegetables with water. Coat-tumble
fish, chicken or vegetables in dry Drum Rock Fis-Chic Wonder Batter
Mix. Deep fry at 350 degrees until golden brown. Or pan fry until golden
brown.
Batter Coating (One Step Preparation)
(English Style Fish & Chip Batter)
Start with: The following is a general starting point recipe.
Adjust according to your desired end product.
1 Part Drum Rock Fis-Chic Wonder Batter Mix to 1 1/2 - 2 parts cold
tap water.
Mix until smooth, let stand for 5-10 minutes.
Whip mix again to remove air pockets.
Dip seafood, chicken or vegetables in wet batter, let excess batter
run off.
Deep fry at 350 degrees until golden brown.
Fish or chicken will float when done.
Vegetables are done when coating is golden brown.
Frying time will vary depending on the size portion of fish or chicken
fried. If desired, you can pre-dust seafood, chicken or vegetables in
dry Drum Rock Fis-Chic Wonder Batter Mix
Standard Coating (Multiple Step Preparation)
Drum Rock Suggested Method
When testing to achieve desired coating, write down the proportions
of dry mix and liquid used so you can duplicate your desired end product.
Use a wire whip to mix batter.
Use cold tap water.
Always add dry mix to water to reduce lumping.
Use stainless steel or coated wire baskets to dip seafood, chicken or
vegetables in wet and/or dry mixes.
Use a good quality liquid or solid deep frying shortening and filter
often. Change as needed.
Batter can be left out all day, it will need periodic mixing. Do not
over mix.

Mix until smooth, let stand for 5-10 minutes.

Tumble, coated seafood, chicken or vegetables in dry Drum Rock Fis-Chic
Wonder Batter Mix, shake off excess
dry mix.
Deep fry at 350 degrees until golden brown.
Fish or chicken will float when done.
Vegetables are done when coating is golden brown.
Fish is done when flesh is opaque and flakes easily with fork.
Heavy/Thick Coating (Multiple Step Preparation)
Start with: The following is a general starting point recipe.
Adjust according to your desired end product. Good for onion rings,
peppers, and any food with a waxy coating.1 part Drum Rock Fis-Chic
Wonder Batter Mix, 1 - 1 1/2 parts cold tap water.
Mix until smooth, let stand for 5-10 minutes.
Whip mix again to remove air pockets.
Dip seafood, chicken or vegetables in wet batter, let excess batter
run off.
Tumble, coated seafood, chicken or vegetables in dry Drum Rock Fis-Chic
Wonder Batter Mix, shake off excess
dry mix.
Recoat seafood, chicken or vegetables in wet batter, let excess run
off.
Repeat recoating as desired.
Deep fry at 350 degrees until golden brown. Fish or chicken will float
when done.
Vegetables are done when coating is golden brown.
